What is a Lived-in-Balayage?
Lived-in color is neither just a balayage or an ombre. It’s a subtle highlighting method that amplifies your natural color. The highlights add depth while avoiding the roots, so the hair looks grown-out and natural, yet trendy and polished. It’s a fairly new technique that allows you to highlight and blend color that allows your hair to look effortlessly and naturally beautiful. You’re not dipping your ends in bleach but, you’re also not getting traditional highlighting that starts close to the roots. Think Gigi Hadid’s effortless blonde.
Lived-in-Balayage is great for someone who wants a lower maintenance hair color. Most of my Lived-in-Balayage clients come in every 3-6 months for touch ups with an occasional quick gloss appointment to keep everything fresh. Depending on your desired look, you might even only have to come in every 8-12 months for touch ups.
